AMA quality seal

In the Land of the Alps there are three officially recognised quality seals for agricultural products – the AMA Quality Seal, the AMA Organic Seal and the seal AMA GOURMET REGION. They stand for the highest quality, Austrian origin and strict controls.

The AMA Seals are based on precise criteria laid down in guidelines. In this way, traditionally as well as organically produced products are safeguarded. The guidelines are reviewed and approved by the responsible Federal Ministry and monitored by independent inspection bodies.

This AMA-Marketing quality system is secured by contracts, as each farmer and participant agrees to comply with the guidelines and allow inspections. Thus, the AMA guidelines involve the entire chain “from farm to fork”.
